Detailed description (English): Our school aims at teaching the students to adopt a sustainable lifestyle and to make small changes in their behaviour in order to conserve the world’s resources, and to secure a good life for both present and future generations. We believe that our students need to have access to practical activities and opportunities to act, which will enable them to reconsider their role as environmentally conscious global citizens. All these small steps and actions need to be visible to reach as many people as possible in order to raise awareness about making conscious changes in our daily habits.
During this week, we are going to organise activities in and outside the classroom that will focus on the sustainable forms of mobility, and how to improve the quality of urban life. Students will learn about the importance of conserving the word’s natural resources, sustainable mobility, climate change and how to share public spaces responsibly. They will create posters, videos and messages to raise awareness about sustainable mobility and will post them on the school’s website and social media sites. Students and teachers will come to school and go home using their bikes, public transport (if they live far from the school), or walk. At the end of the week, the whole school (students, teachers and staff) will march for a greener and more sustainable future.
