Detailed description (English): Reykjavík is endowed with diverse and abundant natural resources. It is the role of Reykjavík Energy and its daughter companies do harness these resources and use them to improve the quality of life of its customers.
In the Electricity Tour, Reykjavík Energy's resource experts will lead participants in
a 25 km long bicycle tour, mostly on paved paths but with a few kilometers of gravel in between, highlighting some of the capital area's resources. We will look at some of the key above ground infrastructure in and around the city and learn how energy is distributed from the power plant to the customer.
Detailed description (original language): Auðlindahringir er viðburðaröð hjá Elliðaárstöð þar sem auðlindasérfræðingar Orkuveitunnar leiða þátttakendur í hjólaleiðsögn um auðlindir og innviði höfuðborgarsvæðisins.
Rafveituhringurinn er sirka 25 km hjólahringur, mestmegnis á malbiki en að litlum hluta á möl. Skoðað verða lykil mannvirki í flutning og dreifingu rafmagns og fræðst um það hvernig raforka kemst frá virkjun til viðskiptavina.
