Detailed description (English): Six companies from the Am Bann business park, coordinated by IMS Luxembourg, came together to organise the Smart Mobility Lunch. A dynamic event aimed at promoting sustainable transport and raising awareness about mobility challenges in Luxembourg.
The Smart Mobility Lunch had two main components:
• A mini conference about the National Mobility Plan 2035 and the mobility challenges in Luxembourg.
• A mobility fair showcasing a variety of alternative mobility solutions through interactive stands and activities.
The mini-conference was officially opened by the Mayor of Leudelange, followed by a presentation from the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, highlighting the National Mobility Plan 2035 with a special focus on the local context. A researcher from the University of Luxembourg explained the need to understand commuting patterns in Leudelange to promote sustainable action.
The Mobility Fair promoted several alternative modes of transport. There was a speed meeting activity to meet carpoolers, a stand on carsharing, a platform that put carpoolers in contact, a stand about public transportation, a possibility to test different types of bikes, and even a stand to get your bike repaired.
And of course, true to its name, the Smart Mobility Lunch wouldn’t be complete without local food trucks, creating a lively and social atmosphere for all attendees.
Target group(s): Employees of companies at the Am Bann Business Park in Leudelange.
Objectives: The aim is to offer employees at the Am Bann Business Park an opportunity to discuss and discover practical, local solutions for improving their daily commutes.
