Within the scope of the theme chosen for 2024: «Shared Public Space», the Municipality of Vila Flor intends to join the movement with an awareness-raising action, with the aim of highlighting the richness of the municipal heritage in the heart of Vila Flor, comprising the Main Church and Pelourinho, combined with rare musical moments, with a musical quartet (the Portocello), in a harmonious symbiosis, with the cars parked there daily giving way to a hundred chairs, outdoors, made available in the space for the public to share this unique moment , right in front of the imposing Igreja Matriz. We invite everyone to visit, rediscover and explore Largo da Igreja Matriz de Vila Flor, without noise or cars, just with good and free violoncelo music and people.
Detailed description (original language): Assinala-se hoje, dia 22 de Setembro, o Dia Europeu Sem Carros, integrado na Semana Europeia da Mobilidade. No âmbito do tema escolhido para 2024: «Espaço Público Partilhado», o Município de Vila Flor pretende aderir ao movimento com uma ação de consciencialização, com o objetivo de destacar a riqueza do património municipal do coração de Vila Flor, composto pela Igreja Matriz e Pelourinho, aliado a momentos musicais raros, com um quarteto musical (os Portocello), numa harmoniosa simbiose, sendo que os carros ali diariamente estacionados darão lugar a uma centena de cadeiras, ao ar livre, disponibilizadas no espaço para o público partilhar este momento único, bem em frente à imponente Igreja Matriz. Deixamos o convite a todos para visitar, redescobrir e explorar o Largo da Igreja Matriz de Vila Flor, sem ruídos ou carros, só com música e pessoas.
