Detailed description (English): We decided to make two activities for our school kids (age 7 - 10).
The first one is to go to school on foot together with a teacher. We call it "PEŠIBUS" ("FOOTBUS" - in english). We prepared plans for the the route of the footbus. Some helpers will prepare the "stops", which help children to know, where to come and wait for the footbus. And the teacher is also the footbus driver and he or she will take children from the bus stop. So the teacher and the children will come to school together (from the whole housing development around our school). In front of school, some surprise is prepared for those children (juice and biscuit - for soft breakfast).
The second activity is children's driving licence.
We prepare the schoolyard for practising children's driving skills - on scooter, bike, roller skates or skateboard. Children can choose, what she or he wants to practice. There will be cones prepared for slalom; reverse driving, parking, some knowledge about bikes, scooters - what to wear while riding a bike, scooter, etc. Finally, each child will get a driving licence with his/her photo, and authorisation for the modes of transport he or she can drive/ride.
Detailed description (original language): Rozhodli sme sa urobiť dve aktivity pre naše školské deti (1. stupeň, vek 7 - 10 rokov).
Prvá aktivita - "pešibus"
cieľom je prísť do školy pešo spolu s učiteľom. Máme pripravené 3 dráhy (farebne odlíšené) s niekoľkými zastávkami. Pomocníci rozostavia po sídlisku v širšom okolí školy "zastávky", na ktoré budú môcť deti prísť a počkať si na "pešibus". Vodičom "pešibusu" bude učiteľ, ktorý si deti cestou do školy vyzbiera a spoločne prídu ku škole, kde ich bude čakať drobné občerstvenie - koláčik a džús.
Druhou aktivitou je Detský vodičák
Deti budú mať pripravenú dráhu na školskom dvore, kde absolvujú jazdu zručnosti (napr. slalom, cúvanie, parkovanie, nejaké "preskúšanie" zo znalostí dopravných prostriedkov a cestnej premávky). Deti si môžu vybrať napr. korčule, kolobežku, bicykel, skateboard a rozhodnúť sa, na ktorom z týchto prostriedkov jazdu zručnosti absolvujú. Môžu si samozrejme vybrať i viac. Po absolvovaní jazdy deti obdržia detský vodičský preukaz, s údajmi, fotografiou a oprávnením, ktorý dopravný prostriedok môžu viesť.
Target group(s): Children of age 7 - 10 (the second to fourth grade at elementary school)
Objectives: To improve knowledge about means of transport, possibilities how to travel to school - not only by car. Driving skills and using available transport.
