Detailed description (English): Starting in May 2025, a new roadside walking and cycling path will be constructed along State Road 2079 between Oberpframmern and the Forstwirt near Putzbrunn. The project is being carried out by the Rosenheim State Building Authority and is scheduled for completion in autumn 2025.
Stretching over a total length of 4.3 kilometres, the new infrastructure will provide a safe and convenient route for both cyclists and pedestrians. It closes a key gap in the regional active mobility network, improves connections between two municipalities, and benefits both daily commuters and recreational users in the Munich metropolitan area.
This new path will significantly enhance road safety, promote climate-friendly mobility, and increase the attractiveness of cycling and walking as everyday transport options – fully aligned with the objectives of the European Mobility Week.
