Detailed description (English): On July 2, 2025, the District Office of Ebersberg hosted an inspiring Carsharing Congress. As a recognized model region for carsharing, the district welcomed participants from municipalities, associations, public administration, and civil society to discuss the future of shared mobility.
A key focus was the "AktionZukunft+" funding program, which offers new support opportunities for carsharing associations – including funding for vehicles, charging infrastructure, and public outreach.
One highlight was the presentation of the sharePAD booking system, which enables simple, flexible, and transparent organisation of community-based carsharing. Practical aspects of transitioning to shared mobility were also explored and discussed.
Another central topic was the ZKneu project, a digital platform designed to centrally coordinate municipal carsharing services. Attendees received updates on the current state of development and engaged in discussions on the next steps toward a comprehensive, regional solution.
The congress made one thing clear: Carsharing is more than technology – it’s active climate policy and a key driver of the mobility transition. The District of Ebersberg continues to lead by example, working closely with municipalities and local initiatives to promote sustainable and shared mobility for all.
Detailed description (original language): Am 2.
