Detailed description (English): This September, Gibraltar is moving differently.
Active Travel Month is a free, community-wide challenge inviting everyone—schools, companies, families, and individuals—to walk, cycle, run, or scoot instead of driving. It’s a chance to improve our health, reduce emissions, and make our streets safer and more enjoyable. Co-organised by OTWO Magazine, STAG, and the Netball World Youth Cup Gibraltar 2025, the campaign runs throughout September 2025 and supports Gibraltar’s Climate Change Strategy by encouraging low-carbon transport choices.
Using the free fitness app Strava, participants will track their active journeys to see their progress and celebrate collective impact. You can join solo or as part of a team. Companies and organisations will create their own Strava clubs and compete for Active Travel Trophies in several categories, including Top Individual, Top Company, and Top School.
All participants will benefit—fitter bodies, sharper minds, less stress, and reduced travel costs. And all participating companies will receive an official sticker to proudly display their commitment to sustainability.
With growing traffic, rising health concerns, and high car use, it’s time for a change. Every step or pedal stroke helps.
