Detailed description (English): PROJECT SUMMARY: Digital technology is transforming urban development by addressing social, environmental, and territorial challenges. Innovations like e-health, smart mobility, and Autonomous Vehicles (AV) can reshape urban life, but require proactive planning for safe, sustainable, and citizen-friendly cities. GINEVRA focuses on equipping small and medium-sized cities with the ability to govern these transformative innovations responsibly, ensuring stakeholder and citizen involvement. The project involves six pilot cities: Cesena (Italy), Ptuj (Slovenia), Varaždin (Croatia), Słupsk (Poland), Bad Schönborn (Germany), and Nyíregyháza (Hungary), supported by expert partners from Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Austria. Transnational cooperation is key, leveraging cross-border expertise to guide responsible innovation. GINEVRA's approach includes developing governance guidelines through transnational exchanges (WP1), creating engagement tools (WP2), and testing these in a transnational pilot (WP3)
MOBILITY ACTION: Introduction of GINEVRA by Lead Partner: Giulia Bubbolini, Centre for Innovation and Economic Development (CISE)

Objectives: Introduction to the GINEVRA Project:
The webinar will begin with an introduction to the GINEVRA project, highlighting its goals, key focus areas, and the importance of responsible governance in deploying transformative innovations like Autonomous Vehicles (AV). This will set the context for understanding how digital technology can address urban challenges and improve city life.
Expert Roundtable Discussion:
The first roundtable will feature technical experts who will share the progress made so far in the project. They will discuss the outcomes of their research, highlight critical issues encountered, and exchange insights on governance and the responsible deployment of AVs. This session aims to foster a deeper understanding of the technical and strategic aspects of urban innovation.
City Roundtable Discussion:
The second roundtable will involve representatives from the pilot cities, who will share their experiences and the work they have done so far. They will discuss their perspectives on governance, the practical challenges they face, and their views on implementing AV technology. This discussion will provide a grounded, city-level perspective on how innovative solutions can be integrated into urban environments.
By the end of the webinar, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the GINEVRA project’s objectives, current progress, and the various perspectives on managing and implementing digital innovations in cities.
