Detailed description (English): The Free Float Mobility Experience is a free-fare intermodal mobility network in the rural town of Vilsbiburg, organized during the Silicon Vilstal Experience Festival in September 2025. The Silicon Vilstal Experience Festival in Vilsbiburg/Germany is Europe's largest social inovation event, officially accredited as "European Social Economy Region" Event by the European Commission.
As part of the Free Float Mobility Experience, the Festival participants as well as the regional population can experience innovative vehicles and novel means of transportation. In particular, the project provides innovative transfer experiences. To enable these experiences, the project will establish a network of novel transfer stations with plants, cultural events, lectures at the transfer stations.
Besides the mobility experience for the users, the parties offering the mobility means, e.g. vehicle manufacturers or mobility startups, can test-try their innovations in this living lab environment.
The Free Float Mobility Experience will be part of the IBA (International Building Exhibition) in the European Metropolitan Region of Munich.
