Detailed description (English): In European Mobility Week 2024, in which the theme is “Shared Public Space”, Promotorres, in cooperation with the Public Security Police and the Torres Vedras City Council, intends to raise awareness among children and young people about good parking practices and choices alternative transport, promoting smooth mobility.
With good parking practices, we promote rotation and encourage long-term parking on the outskirts of the city. This behavior will bring less traffic in the city and consequently more road safety and less air pollution, thus contributing to a better quality of life in the shared public space.
This is the message we want to convey, which is the objective of this practice. On the other hand, we believe that this target audience is more receptive to this type of interventions/rules and are the future drivers. In addition, at present, they are a great way to transmit these learnings to parents/relatives/current drivers.
The action is therefore based on challenging 4-year-old students from schools in the city of Torres Vedras to be mini inspection agents.
This action begins with a brief theoretical presentation in schools and continues with the monitoring of students on the streets of the city, to identify correct and incorrect parking and thus raise awareness (by placing a card in the vehicle) of drivers who practice improper parking.
Public space belongs to everyone, let's take care of it and organize it!
Detailed description (original language): Na Semana Europeia da Mobilidade 2024, na qual o tema é “Espaço Publico Partilhado”, a Promotorres em cooperação com a Policia de Segurança Pública e a Câmara Municipal de Torres Vedras, pretende sensibilizar e consciencializar o público infantojuvenil para boas condutas de estacionamento e escolhas de transporte alternativo, promovendo a mobilidade suave.
Com as boas práticas de estacionamento, promovemos a rotação e estimulamos que os estacionamentos de longa duração sejam feitos na periferia da cidade. Este comportamento vai trazer menos trânsito na cidade e consequentemente mais segurança rodoviária e menos poluição atmosférica, contribuído assim para uma melhor qualidade de vida do espaço publico partilhado.
É esta a mensagem que queremos transmitir, sendo este o objetivo desta prática. Por outro lado, acreditamos que este público-alvo é um público mais recetivo a este tipo de intervenções/regras e são os futuros condutores. Para além de que, no presente, são uma ótima forma de transmitir estas aprendizagens aos pais/familiares/condutores atuais.
A ação baseia-se, assim, em desafiar os alunos dos 4’ anos, das escolas da cidade de Torres Vedras a serem mini agentes de fiscalização.
Esta ação inicia com uma breve apresentação teórica nas escolas e prossegue com o acompanhamento, dos alunos às ruas da cidade, para identificarem estacionamentos corretos e incorretos e assim sensibilizarem (com a colocação de um cartão no veículo) os condutores que praticam o estacionamento indevido.
O espaço público é de todos, vamos cuidar dele e organiza-lo!
