Detailed description (English): As part of the European Mobility Week, the Solar Ambassadors invite you to the “Open Garage Day.” Interested citizens can learn about everyday e-mobility in an independent and hands-on way. On-site, you can explore topics such as electric vehicles, wallboxes, photovoltaics, energy storage, and smart control systems.
In Poing (Kornblumenweg 5), Stefan Armbruster opens his garage and shares his personal energy transition: Starting with a balcony power plant in 2022, his system was expanded in 2024 with a 9.5 kWp PV installation and a 10 kWh battery. Since then, his electric car has been mostly charged with surplus solar power—managed via Home Assistant and evcc. The special aspect: the project was implemented within a terraced-house condominium association. Through joint planning and bundled commissioning of a professional installer, 10 out of 19 homeowners were able to equip their roofs with PV systems efficiently.
A great example of how community spirit, technical know-how, and a willingness to change can help shape the mobility of the future.

Detailed description (original language): Im Rahmen der Europäischen Mobilitätswoche laden die Solarbotschafter zum „Tag der offenen Garagentür“ ein. Interessierte Bürgerinnen und Bürger erhalten die Möglichkeit, sich unabhängig und praxisnah über Elektromobilität im Alltag zu informieren. Vor Ort geht es um E-Autos, Wallboxen, Photovoltaik, Speicherlösungen und intelligente Steuerungssysteme.
In Poing (Kornblumenweg 5) öffnet Stefan Armbruster seine Garage und berichtet von seiner persönlichen Energiewende: Angefangen mit einem Balkonkraftwerk im Jahr 2022, wurde sein System 2024 durch eine 9,5 kWp PV-Anlage mit 10 kWh Speicher erweitert. Das E-Auto wird seither überwiegend mit eigenem Überschuss-Strom geladen – gesteuert durch Home Assistant und evcc. Die Besonderheit: Das Projekt wurde innerhalb einer Reihenhaus-Wohneigentümergemeinschaft realisiert. Durch gemeinschaftliche Planung und eine gebündelte Beauftragung der Fachfirma konnten 10 von 19 Eigentümerinnen und Eigentümern ihre Dächer effizient mit PV-Anlagen ausstatten.
Ein gelungenes Beispiel dafür, wie gemeinschaftliches Engagement, technisches Know-how und der Wille zur Veränderung die Mobilität der Zukunft mitgestalten können.
