Detailed description (English): The SAI-Lab, a real-world laboratory for sustainability and a micro-think tank for sustainable development in Berlin, is committed to sustainable, climate-friendly, and safe mobility. As a volunteer-run laboratory for citizen science, we combine everyday usefulness and innovation with research, administration, and civic action.

Detailed description (original language): Das SAI-Lab, Real-Labor für Nachhaltigkeit und Mikro Think-Tank für nachhaltige Entwicklung in Berlin, engagiert sich für nachhaltige, klimafreundliche und sichere Mobilität. Als ehrenamtliches Real-Labor der Bürgerwissenschaften verbinden wir alltäglich nützliches und innovatives mit Forschung, Verwaltung und bürgerlichem Handeln.

Objectives: This project addresses the everyday phenomenon of the road-barrier at the junction of two or more roads. A road intersection is a fundamental barrier to all other types and forms of traffic and movement that do not (may, can, or must) use the road. Accordingly, intersections are intended and designed for road vehicles to cross. The aim is to investigate and evaluate the crossing of all other types and forms of traffic that wish to cross an intersection in order to develop solutions and measures for safe and attractive “biomobile” intersections.
