Detailed description (English): SnailStep is a human-centred tech solution designed to promote active mobility, urban health, and local economic revitalisation. Through a gamified mobile app, walking becomes meaningful: users earn rewards redeemable at local businesses, fostering healthier lifestyles, sustainability, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our impact goes beyond digital. SnailStep includes StepLabs, urban labs where we collaborate with municipalities and local actors to study the use of public spaces such as parks, plazas, and sports areas. These labs identify walkability barriers, generate real behaviour data, and support evidence-based, participatory policymaking.
The app offers route tracking, personalised motivation, and behavioural insights to help users form lasting active habits. The anonymised data helps cities enhance urban planning, validate the social value of public space, and build more livable, inclusive, and connected environments.
At SnailStep, we are a tech company with a soul. We aim to bridge innovation and social transformation. We believe walking is a civic act that improves wellbeing, strengthens communities, and reshapes the urban fabric—step by step.
