Detailed description (English): What is there to see in Novi Zagreb area in the Croatian capital of Zagreb?
This is a question we often get from the people of Zagreb themselves when we mention that we take tourists off the usual routes—even to Novi Zagreb!
So really, what’s so interesting in Novi Zagreb?
Find out in September when we're offering free tours for the locals, supported by the City of Zagreb.
The long walks are a perfect mobilityaction as they are participatory, promote walking, cycling, and using public transport. They explore different neighbourhoods, and they are participatory in the sense that we will be asking for participants' opinions, favourite places, recommendations, and ideas for improvement of life in the area. This will eventually result in a self-guided tour that will allow anyone to explore the area by themselves, at their own pace.
Target group(s): Mostly Zagreb locals
Objectives: To encourage walking, cycling, and using public transport
To help the citizen connect and understand the modern heritage
To open the conversation about the life in different neighbourhoods, and to explore new solutions
To create a fun selfguided activity for residents and tourists
