Detailed description (English): ”What do you see on your way to school?” is meant to be an initiative that promotes sustainable transportation in Ramnicu Valcea. Students aged 6-10 from the Anton Pann and Goranu schools are encouraged to travel for one week by foot, by bicycle, use the public transport to get to school and to keep a ”diary” of these trips. The participating students will ”narrate” in simple phrases, each day, about everything they see on their way to school: they will have to pay attention to nature (if there are trees, green spaces, birds), weather conditions (if it rains/is sunny, recorded temperature), traffic (cars in traffic, people walking ), architecture (houses or areas predominantly with blocks), urban furniture (are there benches where you can rest?) On the second week each school will organize interactive lessons where students, teachers and civil servants from the Municipality will formulate together answers to questions such as: What is ”a healthy environment”? How do students evaluate ”their environment”, taking into consideration what they noticed on their way to school? what is pollution? Does pollution affect the environment? Do cars pollute the city? Did they save CO2 emissions by walking, cycling, taking the bus? The best "diaries" will be awarded by the Municipality of Ramnicu Valcea.
The action is developed as part of the Ready4Net Zero project implemented in Ramnicu Valcea by the Municipality and Energy Cities Romania, through the EUKI initiative of the Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
Detailed description (original language): Ce vezi în drumul tau spre școală?” este o initiativa a Primariei Ramnicu Valcea care promoveaza transportul durabil in Ramnicu Valcea. Elevii cu vârste cuprinse între 6-10 ani din școlile Anton Pann și Goranu sunt încurajați să călătorească timp de o săptămână pe jos, cu bicicleta, sa foloseasca transportul public pentru a ajunge la școală și pentru a păstra un ”jurnal” al acestor călătorii. Elevii participanți vor ”povesti” în fraze simple, în fiecare zi, despre tot ceea ce văd în drumul lor spre școală: vor trebui să acorde atenție naturii (dacă există copaci, spații verzi, păsări), condiții meteorologice (dacă plouă/este însorit, temperatura înregistrată), trafic (dacă există multe mașini în trafic, dacă există mulți oameni care se plimbă dimineața), arhitectură (zone cu case sau zone predominant cu blocuri), mobilier urban (există bănci unde se pot odihni?)
În a doua săptămână fiecare școală va organiza lecții interactive în care elevii, profesorii și funcționarii publici din primarie vor formula împreună răspunsuri la întrebări precum: Ce este ”un mediu sănătos”? Cum evaluează elevii ”mediul lor inconjurator”, luând în considerare ceea ce au observat în drumul lor spre școală? Ce este poluarea? Poluarea afectează mediul? Maşinile poluează oraşul? Au "economisit" emisii de CO2 mergând pe jos, cu bicicleta, luând autobuzul? Cele mai bune "jurnale" vor fi premiate de Primăria Râmnicu Vâlcea.Acțiunea este parte a proiectului Ready4Net Zero implementat în Râmnicu Vâlcea de autoritatea locala și Orașele Energie România, prin inițiativa EUKI a Guvernului Federal German.
