Detailed description (English): University Vita-Salute San Raffaele is a private university located in the eastern part of Milano (in a District of Segrate, called Milano 2).
The University has a branch site in the Hospital San Raffaele.
The area is not far from the city center, but not well connected and the mobility is car-centric.
With the arrival of thousands of students, some problems have aroused and some Mobility Management actions have been put in places, in particulars:
- Promotion with the sharing mobility operator LIME for a discount on bike sharing and kick-scooter sharing
- Agreement with Train operators to promote train usage
- Increase of the public transport
- Installation of Bike Facilities in the campus (bike parkings, change rooms, bike tools)
In September 2025 during the Welcome Days the University has promoted an information desk which has the specific purpose of informing and promoting sustainable mobility choices to all the students.
The information desk will take place during the mobility weekend and inform new students (but also the personnel and the professors) about the alternative mobility options which are available.
A set of simplified maps have been published in order to make clear what are mobility options to reach the University.
