Detailed description (English): The official opening of the renovated underpass at the Iztok bus stop, will be held on September 15 at 11:00 a.m. The event will be attended by representatives of FEBA; Delyan Georgiev, Mayor of Izgrev district in Sofia; Malina Krumova, Chairperson of State Agency Road Safety, Republic of Bulgaria; citizens and students.
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration - Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", conducted an initiative to turn the pedestrian underpass and the Exchange Office at the Iztok bus stop into a virtual gateway to a carbon-neutral and sustainable world. The project was implemented in four stages:
- Cleaning the abandoned commercial spaces;
- Installing new LED lighting;
- Thoroughly cleaning the area in and around the underpass;
- Creating a thematic mural "Change over Challenge".
Net Zero Underpass is part of the leadership’s concept at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration to create a Net Zero Campus as a dream sustainable space where knowledge, scientific discoveries, and street art come together to create a healthy, supportive, and encouraging environment for living and development for young people and the neighborhood.
Detailed description (original language): Официалното откриване на обновения подлез на спирка Изток ще се състои на 15 септември от 11.00 ч. На събитието ще присъстват представители нна Стопански факултет към Софийски университет "Св- Климент Охридски"; Делян Георгиев, кмет на район "Изгрев"; Малина Крумова, председател на Държавна агенция "Безопасност на движението по пътищата", Република България; граждани и студенти.
Стопанският факултет - СУ "Св. Климент Охридски" проведе инициатива за превръщането на пешеходния подлез и Обменното бюро на спирка Изток във виртуална врата към един въглеродно неутрален и устойчив свят. Проектът се реализира на четири етапа:
- Почистване на изоставени търговски площи;
- Монтиране на ново LED осветление;
- Основно почистване на района в и около подлеза;
- Създаване на тематичен стенопис "Промяната над предизвикателството".
Net Zero подлезът е част от концепцията на Стопански факултет за създаване на Net Zero Campus като мечтано устойчиво пространство, където знанието и научните открития се обединяват, за да създадат здравословна, подкрепяща и насърчаваща среда за живот и развитие за младите хора и квартала.
