Detailed description (English): As the Van EU Information Center, we are organizing a panel and a Bike Tour titled "Cycling in Modern Cities and Cycling for a Sustainable Future" as part of European Mobility Week 2025 to promote environmentally sustainable transportation solutions. Given that urban mobility accounts for a significant portion of greenhouse gas emissions in Europe, this initiative aims to raise awareness about the role of low-emission travel (especially cycling) in achieving climate goals and improving air quality. To this end, the panel will discuss Bicycle Culture, the role of cycling as an important means of transportation in modern cities, and its environmental impact. At the end of the day, we aim to raise awareness with a Bike Tour.
Target group(s): Decision makers, Non-Governmental Organizations, Students, Public, Relevant Public Authority
Objectives: General Objective:
To promote sustainable, low-emission urban mobility in Van through a collaborative, inclusive, and environmentally responsible cycling event, in line with the objectives of European Mobility Week.
Specific Objectives:

• To support behavioral change by encouraging the use of bicycles instead of motor vehicles for short-distance urban journeys.
