Detailed description (English): Sustainable mobility in the Cilento National Park must necessarily start from privileging access via the high-speed rail network and through a maritime connection exploiting already existing stations and ports, but enhancing them so, for the maritime connection, increasing the frequency of journeys but also realizing terminals for electric vehicles and for shuttles and Van-Sharing solutions that will allow access to the park's 58 municipalities.
All 58 municipalities in the park are Unesco Heritage for the Mediterranean Diet and for this reason they originate a food and wine tourism, but also a a scientific tourism (Annual Conferences on the Mediterranean diet and biodiversity).
It should not be forgotten that 2018 was declared "Year of Food" and therefore what better opportunity to highlight how the Mediterranean Diet can positively influence mobility too?
The Mediterranean Diet should become the fulcrum of sustainable mobility: Bringing the Mediterranean diet in all areas (we speak of Mediterranean Diet "in all policies") allows an effective reduction of mobility in the food sector. Completing the Mediterranean Diet means being able to have, at zero km, all the foods that characterize it (especially those rich in antioxidants, abundantly present in the park of Cilento) using innovative water culture techniques in vertical greenhouses and being able to dispose of higher quality food wherever it is necessary to improve the nutrition conditions of the population.
The new vertical greenhouses allow on-site the practical implementation of the Mediterranean diet in any place, whether it is a sub-urban area or even in emergency situations such as the numerous refugee camps where the qualitative level of nutrition is very low.
During the mobility week, we will present the following proposals for the Parco del Cilento:
- Railway network of arrival and departure for high-speed connections for shunting to and from the airport, city of Salerno and 58 municipalities of the Park
- Inter-urban mobility from the AV and Ports stations, through electric shuttles and electric cars with a car-sharing logic
- Construction of parking areas at the arrival / departure stations that are also terminals for shuttles and electric vehicles in car-sharing in order to reach the pedestrian areas and cycle paths (to be realized).
- Innovation of mobility for food: creation of orthogarden for antioxidants by metro (as provided by the Mediterranean Diet of Cilento - In all policies) in farms and Bed & Brekfast.
- Exploiting the new technologies for vertical greenhouses to export the Mediterranean diet in the world and thus reduce global mobility
The presentation during the mobilty week will be held at the Velia Amphitheater of the Alario Foundation for Elea with a permanent exhibition and the participation of the President of the Cilento National Park and of all the participating mayors.
We will organize meetings on mobility and sustainability issues and about the new vertical greenhouse technologies and how to export Mediterraneum Diet of Cilento in the world and so reduce food mobility.
