Detailed description (English): It is about rethinking, with the aim of improving it, a workshop for citizens to find the best route, the most sustainable, when traveling through Vitoria-Gasteiz, calculating their carbon footprint and acquiring commitments to reduce it, with the final objective of promoting the adoption of healthy and sustainable lifestyle habits in the people who participate. We carried out this workshop for the first time in the VIII Egibide Mobility Week, in April 2023, with students from the Egibide Nieves Cano Secondary School.
The workshop will be planned, coordinated and carried out by the environmental volunteers of EGIBIDE School, whose members we call environmental monitors, who actively collaborate with different interest groups of this School. It is made up of students from EGIBIDE's Education and Environmental Control (EEC), a Formative Cycle of Higher Level Vocational Education and Training (VET), and has the support and guidance of the Cycle's Teaching Team and the EGIBIDE Environment Team.
We organize ourselves to work applying the ETHAZI methodology https://tknika.eus/cont/proyectos/ethazi/ promoted by TKNIKA, a research and applied innovation center promoted by the VT Vice-Ministry of the Department of Education of the Basque Government, based on the cooperative learning to overcome challenges, as a team, and within the framework of competencies for education for sustainable development and global citizenship, promoted by the 4.7 Movement, at the state level, https://www.4punto7.org/, of which we are an active part.
