Detailed description (English): Launching of the “Shop Local, Travel Local” campaign: Promoting joint messages of sustainable (local and active journeys) and involving town centre businesses. Alloa will encourage more sustainable ‘school run’ journeys and educational campaigns for pupils and families to visit the town centre more often, leaving the car at home – favouring walking, cycling and public transport.
Target group(s): Parents and Children
Objectives: To reduce numbers of cars coming in to town centre and encourage healthier activities and more exercise for children, while shopping in the town and passing through on their way to work or school
Expected Outcomes: More active community, less traffic increased awareness of other forms of sustainable transport
