Detailed description (English): The Italian capital is preparing to host the first edition of the Roma Eco Race, a regularity car race reserved for vehicles powered by alternative propulsion and fuels, to encourage people to optimize travel by using sustainable vehicles and shift towards more sustainable modes of transport than individual cars.
On 16 and 17 September, ecological vehicles will compete along a route that will have Rome and the Castelli Romani as protagonists, with the aim of promoting and spreading the technologies and advantages of eco-compatible mobility.
The 1st Roma Eco Race, organized by the Automobile Club Roma, which takes care of the automotive sporting aspects and Punto Gas, an operator in the automotive sector and sustainable mobility, is valid for the Aci Sport Green Challenge Cup trophy dedicated to alternative energy with the FIA International Sporting Code, the International Automobile Federation.
The event takes place simultaneously with another preview, the 1st Rome Eco Race Press - Memorial Fiammetta La Guidara, with the same characteristics but reserved for journalists and the media of the automotive sector.
Not just a competition, but a road show dedicated to the environment and sustainable mobility with electric, hybrid, mono, bifuel and gaseous dual fuel vehicles (LPG, CNG and bio CNG), raising the awareness of the public on sustainable urban mobility
Detailed description (original language): La capitale si prepara ad ospitare la prima edizione di Roma Eco Race, manifestazione sportiva automobilistica di regolarità riservata ai mezzi alimentati con propulsioni e carburanti alternativi.
Il 16 e il 17 settembre i veicoli ecologici si sfideranno lungo un percorso che avrà come protagonisti Roma e i Castelli Romani, con l’obiettivo di promuovere e diffondere le tecnologie e i vantaggi della mobilità ecocompatibile, oltre a incoraggiare il passaggio a modalità di trasporto più sostenibili rispetto all'auto privata.
La 1° Roma Eco Race, organizzata da Automobile Club Roma e Punto Gas, è valida per il Trofeo dedicato alle energie alternative Green Challenge Cup di Aci Sport.
La manifestazione si svolge in contemporanea con un’altra anteprima, la 1° Roma Eco Race Press - Memorial Fiammetta La Guidara, con le stesse caratteristiche ma riservata ai giornalisti e ai media del settore automotive.
La gara si propone di promuovere lo sviluppo dei veicoli a basso impatto ambientale e dimostrarne l’usabilità nella vita quotidiana. Un road show dedicato all'ambiente e alla mobilità sostenibile con mezzi elettrici, ibridi, mono, bifuel e dual fuel gassosi (GPL, metano e biometano).
Roma Eco Race si svolge con il patrocinio di Regione Lazio, Sport e Salute, Roma Assessorato alla Mobilità, CONI Comitato Regionale Lazio, Comune di Frascati, Città di Albano Laziale, Parco regionale dei Castelli Romani, Uiga Unione Italiana Giornalisti dell’Automotive ed in collaborazione con il Parlamento Europeo Ufficio di collegamento in Italia.
Target group(s): The race, which is part of the ecorally category, a discipline born in 2006 between Italy, San Marino and the Vatican City, aims to promote the development of vehicles with low environmental impact and demonstrate their usability in everyday life and is open to all (with a suitable vehicle).
