Detailed description (English): Following the global campaign Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility, the idea of the project of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Skopje Office together with the Ministry of transport of North Macedonia and Euromobilnost is to promote short animated videos/movies about raising awareness for the railway as a safe and healthy mobility option. In addition, the European Railway Year has inspired us to choose railway as a mobility option that we would like to promote, especially in a country like North Macedonia that is highly affected by air pollution and rising emissions due to increasing transport. The three videos will promote the following main messages:
- Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility - We want a train accessible to all!
- Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility - We need flexible, safe, and healthy transport to work!
- Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility - Sustainable railway makes all adventures possible!
The campaign will start on the 13th of September when the European train is arriving in North Macedonia and will continue during the European Mobility Week aiming to increase awareness about the opportunities railway offers as a sustainable mobility option, but also the challenges the country faces in terms of infrastructure and that need to be addresses as soon as possible.
Target group(s): civil society, governmental institutions, and decision-makers, citizens
Objectives: to bring the question of improvement of the railway infrastructure and its adaptation to the needs of everyone: students, cyclists, tourists, families, handicapped people, as well as to increase awareness about the opportunities offered by railway transport in terms of health and safety, connectivity and mobility, tourism and sustainable development.
Partner: Ministry of Transport of North Macedonia; NGO Euromobilnost
