Detailed description (English): Studies have found that the risk of death is reduced by 20-30% for individuals who engage in light or moderate physical activity for 30 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week, compared to individuals who do not engage in sufficient physical activity. Studies show the benefits of 150 minutes of physical activity per week in adults; It reveals that it reduces the risk of ischemic heart disease by 30%, the risk of type II diabetes by 27%, and the risk of breast and colon cancer by 20-25%.
Physical activity; It has an important role in preventing obesity, one of the most important health problems of the age, and ensuring weight control by increasing a person's energy expenditure. Again, studies show that regular physical activities play a role in combating depression and anxiety, improve one's self-confidence and positively affect psycho-social development.
As part of the “10 May Move for Health Day” Activities, a walking event was held in Sincan Wonderland Park on 12.05.2023. Flexibility and balance-coordination exercises were performed before the walk. In addition, stands where services were carried out by the units within the Sincan District Health Directorate were opened, various information was provided, and materials such as brochures and magnets were distributed. Within the scope of community screening studies at the stands, blood pressure and instantaneous blood sugar were measured and evaluated by health experts and necessary guidance was given.
