Detailed description (English): The Bologna Airport is an organization that involves many workers across multiple shifts and operates in a location not immediately adjacent to the city. There was a need to introduce shared and sustainable mobility solutions to simplify access to the airport without exacerbating the CO2 emissions associated with airport activities.
Bologna Airport has thus partnered with UP2GO, offering the option of carpooling and tracking CO2 savings on days of remote work and through non-car travel methods such as biking, walking, and public transportation.
Through carpooling, employees can offer or request rides from colleagues. By entering their starting point, the application matches compatibility in routes and schedules among colleagues, notifying interested users about the option to share the journey.
The key aspect of this initiative is the multimodal transportation accessible to employees. Give them the feeling to be part of a wider corporate community action, and integrate the mobility services with the integration of a gamification system, encourages them to participate in this project.. In this case, it has been observed that engaging commuters in sustainable mobility initiatives requires tailored projects that meet individual needs. Target group(s): The target groups are the workers and the road system to e from the Airport. With this action workers can reduce the car-dependency and usage, in this way number of circulating vehicles can decrease, reducing co2 emissions and traffic problems.
