On 16 September 2019 Edremit Municipality will inaugurate the Free School Bus Service initiative that will be operating during the school year 2019/2020 for children between 6 to 18 years. The aim of the initiative is to reduce the morning traffic providing a more sustainable solutions of mobility for children and their families in particular for those in financial straits.

On 17 September 2019 Parks and Gardens Department of Edremit Municipality will plant trees in a less attractive street of Edremit where the urban design will be enriched with plants and a new green area.

On 18 September 2019 Municipal Police of Edremit Municipality will give "Pedestrian Safety" lessons to the students of a Elementary School located in Edremit. The same day the Technical Office of our Municipality will install "speed bumps" in front of a School of Edremit with special signage for pedestrians.

On 20 September 2019 the Mayor of Edremit with two representatives of the local Handicap Association, will stroll together through the city center in order to identify the architectural barriers of our city and remove them during the next weeks.

On 22 September 2019 Edremit Municipality will organise the "Walk Together" march with the participation of all the population and local civil organisations in order to rise awareness about the theme of the year and discover together the centre of the city that will be closed to the traffic during all the day.
