We Are Family, We Move Together
Let's Exercise-Sport Together
Group sports activites accompanied by sport trainers will be held. Organization will be held with contributions of SOGEM.

“The Street Is Ours” Event
Menteşe Cumhuriyet Street, one of the main transportation axes of the city center, will be closed to car traffic and there will be areas where children can play freely with game materials belongs to our instution. Organization will be held with the contributions of SOGEM (youth club within municipality consists of students who live in Muğla) .

‘‘Life With Bike Event”
Bike Games ve Contests
Organization will be accompanied by MOR PEDAL

- Wall Painting Activity: Drawing figures on the wall of Mor Pedal Association Building which belongs to our instution by children and SOGEM (youth club within municipality consists of students who live in muğla) members
- Orienteering: Children will try to find hidden pouches (filled with pebbles which will be used for playing a traditional game named “5 Stones) in the area/garden with the help of detailed maps and hints
- Various kind of competitions (Slowest bicycle riding etc)

Car Free Day;
- Awareness campaing about Sustaniable Transportation will be started and within this scope European Mobility Week and Sustaniable Transportation themed wallpapers will be implemented to municipal employee's computers and municipality social media will share information about sustainable transportation and encourage going to work by walking or cycling

Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi (Mugla Metropolitan Municipality) implements, planned or promotes one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc) implemented
Horizontal and vertical bicycle road markings were implemented along 3 kms at Bodrum district and at another 20 intersection points. 33 bicycle parking stations were implemented at appropriate points
Pedestrianisation
Create or enlarge pedestrian streets implemented
1000 crosswalks were implemented
Public transport services
Improvement and extension of the public transport network (creation of HOV lanes for public transport modes, new stops, new lines, reserved areas etc) implemented
Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc) implemented
Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets implemented

12 new public transportation service lines have been put into service in the last 1 year according to need.
Traffic calming and access control scheme
Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools implemented
Deceleration warning road markings and signs, barriers were implemented in front of 40 schools.
Accessibilities
Elaboration of sound devices in traffic lights implemented
There are sound devices at 30 of 98 traffic signal controlled intersection points which are under our responsibility, and extra 10 traffic lights with sound device implementation is planned
New forms of vehicle use and ownership
Launch of online car-pooling and car-sharing schemes planned
Charging points for electric vehicles planned
A charging point unit/place for electric vehicles was implemented at new fuel station in Kızılağaç which belongs to Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and it will be putted in use as soon as possible
Mobility management
Adoption of school travel plans implemented
Launch of awareness-raising campaigns implemented
Due to Muğla is a tourism city; school service busses are allowed to work at tourism sector during high tourism summer season according to increase of seasonally demands on public transportation

Menteşe District new car parking area implemented.
8 bicycle has been purchased to provide Free Bicycle Course for citizens by Mor Pedal (Association for Cycling Life) by our institution.
The remaining walking path of Serhat Demirtaş Park is being built.
