Bike check
Bike check at school
The police will be carrying out a free bicycle check at Heiligenhaus Secondary School after school or during the break. The check includes brakes, lights, reflectors, horn, tyres and the general condition of the bikes.
The students receive direct feedback and recommendations for possible repairs. Minor defects are repaired on the spot if possible. The aim is to improve road safety and raise awareness of safe cycling.
Car-free day
Heiligenhaus carries out a Car-free day and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

On 21. September, the centre of Heiligenhaus will become a pedestrian zone for one day. On that day, the whole area will be closed to traffic to make way for a big climate protection festival. There will be music, stalls, activities and food.
