The European Mobility Week coincides with the Traditional Yuntdağı Oil Wrestling Fest which is helding every year by Yunusemre Municipality. There are at least 300 wrestlers participating in this event and approximately 20.000 people from different cities near Manisa province come for watching the wrestling fest. As helding a sports festival in our province in the same week, The European Mobility Week will attract a lot of attention and awareness.
Planned activities for 2018 European Mobility Week by Yunusemre Municipality:
Cycling Tour: All district people who are cycling will be invited to the event which will be held on September 23th. A city tour will be organized with the safety and health measures. The tour will start from Municipal Campus area and end in wrestling arena. The participation of relevant NGOs will also be encouraged.
It is aimed to raise awareness on urban mobility and increase the contribution to the economy through the spread of bicycle usage, promotion sportive events, fight against obesity, clean / environmental transportation, reduction of gasoline / diesel consumption.
Various visibility materials will be used related with European Mobility Week as t-shirts, hats, banners etc.
