Our Car-Free Day takes place Saturday 19th of september.

In Summer 2015 the central part of Hamngatan was blocked for car trafiic under the period of June-August. Several new bicycle parking facilities and sofas where installed as well. These months are the
Mobility management
A new Energy Plan has been decided on of the Municipal Executive Committee. The plan includes goals on municipality vehicles free from emissions of carbon dioxide.
Car-free day
Vaxholm carries out a Car-free day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
