As part of the European Mobility Week, the Sežana Students' Club, in cooperation with the ORA Krasa in Brkini and Kras Brkini bikes, is organising a disc golf tournament with a guided bike trip from Sežana to Lipica on 27 August at 17:00.
From the cycling station at the Sežana Primary School, we will set off with Kras Brkini bikes towards Lipica, where a tournament in this increasingly popular game awaits us at the Lipica Disc Golf Course. To ensure a healthy sporting experience, there will be practical prizes for the best disc golfers and snacks for all participants.
Disc golf is a relaxing, easy and fun game, similar to golf, but instead of hitting a ball into a hole, players throw a flying disc into a specially designed metal basket. The aim is to complete the course in as few throws as possibl

On a guided walk from the Sežana railway station to Kosovel's memorial room, through visual stimuli of Kosovel's birthplace, we learn about the poet's life and rich literary legacy, read his poetry and look for the traces that Srečko left in the work of others. Along the way, we collect impressions of the city and piece together the story of the poet's life and his literary work. We finish the walk with a visit to Kosovel's memorial room.

This year, the Karst Cycling Club is also taking part in the European Mobility Week. We have prepared an easy and light tour with a low altitude difference, so there is no excuse not to join us this time.
We will start from the parking lot of the St. John's Church in Sežana and get to know the new GEOMOB cycle route, which last year was a real buzz throughout the Karst region. In the village of Vrhovlje we will turn off into the cross-border Karst and continue to Repentabro. There we will see the Repentabor Rocks and a fine example of a hill and arch at the village of Col. We will then cycle to Trebci and then along the cycle path to Orlek. Of course, we will stop at the Swan Cave, the first cave where explorers reached the underground River Timawa as early as 1841. Then return to Sežana.
Most of the route is on asphalt and good tracks, so the tour is suitable for all cyclists.
Length: 20 Km, total elevation gain 200 m.

Organised a workshop on safer streetscaping of Bazoviška Street in front of the People's University, Kosovel Street and part of Srebrniča Street. All interested are welcome to attend.

As part of the European Mobility Week, on-demand transport will be free for all citizens between 23 and 27 September 2024, so that they can try out the service not only for commuting, but also for running errands, training, extra-curricular activities, etc.
