All children and parents are invited to the main town square.
On the square, police officers will educate them about traffic safety, the use of helmets, riding on bicycle paths, and riding bicycles and romobiles.
Also, extracurricular activities that children can attend will be presented. Since children often go to extracurricular activities on bicycles or romobiles, police officers will teach them how to ride safely.
Many parents drive their children by car to many activities, the goal of this activity is to encourage driving to leisure activities without cars - with bicycles, romobiles or by walk

Closure of the main road for cars
22.09.2024. The intersection of the two busiest intersections in the city will be closed. In this way, the city of Zaprešić will celebrate a car-free day.
The city of Zaprešić is currently building two bypasses, so in the future this section will be completely closed and turned into a pedestrian zone.
Now the closing will mark the car-free day, but we want to emphasize that in the future it will be all square, without traffic and cars.

In order to create a traffic-sustainable city, we continuously work on the development of sustainable traffic development and we have a great desire for the City of Zaprešić to be a traffic-sustainable city. But we need financial help to make SUMP,
therefore we hope that you can help us, we would be very glad.

Part of the buses has already been moved to the railway station, and expansion of the park and ride system as well as the system of public bicycles is planned. The construction of bypasses will relieve the city center of cars, and in the future it is planned to close the center for cars. Also, a large number of bicycle paths have been built, and further expansion of the network is planned, mobile applications and public bicycles are being introduced, which should encourage the use of bicycles. A new organization of public transport towards railway terminals and railway stops is also being planned. It is necessary to create a SUMP, and we would be glad if, through the activities of the mobility week, we could get financial help for the creation.
