Bacau organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.

Regarding Climate Change a greenway will be established and promoted by organizing various events, a round table will be held with the participation of local authorities, NGOs and scientific institutes, and on 22nd of September the traffic will be interrupted on a main street.

A greenway will be established along the bank of Agrement Lake, and the general public will be encouraged to use it for recreation and as a communication rout.

Bacau carries out a Car-free day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
