Eskilstuna organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Our main focus for the week is on public transport but we also have activities more strictly related to this years topic. For example we are going to take a couple of parking lots and change them to other uses like park and cycle parking. We also plan to use street art with messages around sustainable transports.

Vårt huvudfokus för veckan ligger på kollektivtrafiken, men vi har även aktiviteter som är mer strikt relaterade årets tema. Till exempel kommer att ändra ett par parkeringsplatser, som t.ex. till park-och cykelparkering. Vi planerar också att satsa på gatukonst med budskap som rör hållbara transporter.

An area of about 2000 m2 are changed permanently from an ordinary car traffic environment to a shared space environment.The area is beautifully situated near the stream that runs through Eskilstuna. The area is situated between Ruddammsgatan, Eskilsgatan och Stensborgsgatan.

Ett område på ca 2000 m2 ändras permanent från en vanlig biltrafikerad miljö till en gemensam yta. Området är vackert beläget nära den bäck som rinner genom Eskilstuna. Området ligger mellan Ruddammsgatan, Eskilsgatan och Stensborgsgatan.

Eskilstuna carries out a Car-free day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
