Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc): Coordination with Madrid Regional Transport Consortium for the installation of a bike parking inside one of the underground stations in the city.
Use of ecological vehicles for public transport fleets: Coordination with Madrid Regional Transport Consortium and La Veloz (public transport operator in the city) for the incorporation of the first seven hybrid buses to the public transport fleet.
The development of accessible transport services for all: Improvement of the accessibility around 3 bus stops in the city.
Development of travel plans / mobility plans in consultation with local stakeholders: Review of the SUMP (passed in July of 2016). This review of the SUMP updates the former SUMP passed in 2010 and develops the Local Covenant for Sustainable Mobility signed in June of 2016 by all the political representatives who form the City Council.
Car-free day
Rivas Vaciamadrid carries out a Car-free day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
