Mobility-related activities during World Children's Day
On 21 September, the City of Geldern will celebrate World Children’s Day with a special focus on sustainable mobility for children. Public transport within Geldern will be free of charge throughout the day, encouraging families to travel in a climate-friendly way.

At the city’s mobility-themed stand, children and families can take part in various fun and educational activities: a painting station featuring popular “Edgar & Edda” motifs, a prize wheel with small rewards including EMW-Wimmelbilder, and bicycle-related games. A collaboration with a local bike shop is also planned.

The goal is to highlight the specific mobility needs of children and to promote awareness of safe, accessible, and child-friendly transport in urban spaces.
