Elx (Elche) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2022, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
PARKING DAY
We'll reserve some parking spaces and we'll make green installations, in order to illustrate about how much things can happen when there are no cars in the public space.
17 September
HIKE TO "EL PANTANO"
Excursion to one of the natural parks of our municipality. Three groups will go by bus to the beginning of the route, and then they'll walk to the natural park of the reservoir.
18 September
"BICICLETADA"
It is one of the most popular activities that we organize in the Mobility Week. It consists in an urban route by bicycle. It passes through the principal new mobility infrastructures (cycle paths, pedestrian streets...).

URBAN CYCLING COURSE
The members of Local Police's cycling unite teach citizens how to use bicycle in the urban space: security measures, how to circulate in the different roads, the coexistence with pedestrian and other vehicles...

WOKSHOP: MECHANICS OF THE BYCICLE
Some experts of a local bycicle shop will teach people the basis of the bycicle mechanics and how to repair it.

Note: right now we are finalizing two new bike lanes that will add more than 4 kilometers to the urban cycle structure with direct paths connecting the main neighborhoods of the municipality.
