Kao i svake godine u Varaždinu se organizira "ŠPANCIRFEST" koji traje 10 dana i čija sama riječ znači u varaždinskom žargonu Festival šetača i koji je jedinstveni u svijetu. Dnevno se po nekoliko sati u trajanju od 10-24 sata nekoliko desetaka tisuća ljudi šeće i prisutstvuje raznim programima na otvorenom prostoru, a što je i puno više od tjedan dana. Varaždin je i grad bicikla, u kojem svaki građanin ima svoj bicikl, pa se shodno tome kod svake rekonstrukcije prometnica izgradi i staza za bicikle. Promet biciklima dozvoljen je u svim ulicama.
Every year is being held in Varaždin "ŠPANCIRFEST" for a period of 10 days in August. This means in translation walking festival where about 50 000 people walks in the open air and enjoying in theatrical performances, concerts and other activitis. The city of Varaždin is a city of bicycles and every citizen has a bike.
With any reconstruction of roads is build new trails of bicycles.
All city streets in Varaždin are free for bikes.
Car-free day
Varaždin carries out a Car-free day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
