22th of September - 13.30PM an opening event for the extension of bicycle network in the district of Garkalne - the village Langstiņi (480m). The extension of bicycle network in Langstiņi involves fully improved lane with LED lights and necessary signpostings, which makes it more safer.
Also, this event will involve cycling orienteering competitions (Velo-Foto, 14:00-18:00PM );
Demonstrations of extra ordinary bicycles (14:00PM) will be provided to the participants , after demonstrations there will be a possibility to drive with these bicycles.
At the end of the velo-foto, participants will get prizes, hot tea and healthy snacks, DJ will ensure sporty mood during the event.
Car-free day
Garkalne municipality (Garkalne)
carries out a Car-free day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
