As Konya Metropolitan Municipality, we work in the field of transportation and mobility in a bicycle-centered manner. Turkey's longest and the world's second longest bicycle network is located in Konya with 550 km. Konya also hosts many local and international cycling events every year. Some of these are events such as Turkey's biggest bicycle festival, International Presidential Cycling Tournament, Turkey Road Cycling Championship, International Mevlana Cycling Tour. Konya Metropolitan Municipality also organizes activities for students to ensure sustainability in transportation. Among these activities, free bicycles and helmets are distributed to primary school students. In addition, the bicycle trams in the city provide uninterrupted use of transportation for cyclists. On the other hand, the construction work of Turkey's first bicycle museum has started. The use of bicycles by adults is tried to be encouraged with different activities. The most important of these is the rewarding activity of Konya Metropolitan Municipality employees who come to work by bicycle for 12 months.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi (Konya Metropolitan Municipality) carries out a Car-free day 2022 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
