During this year these measures will be implemented:
• A Street in central city is closed to traffic and the reconstruction to a pedestrian street is begun. (Köpmangatan)
• permanently reduced speed limit is introduced along a section on one of the main roads in central city. (Part of Viktoriaesplanaden – between Hamngatan and Fabriksgatan.)
Car-free day
Örnsköldsvik (Ornskoldsvik)
carries out a Car-free day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
