London Borough of Camden organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

A road will be closed for a day and new pedestrian measures and a walking guide launched with the aim of encouraging active zero emission travel.

A new public square and associated pedestrian measures will be opened in Great Queen Street as a main feature of our Car Free Day on 11th September. Camden will also be launching a walking guide that has been produced in association the architecture charity, Open House which will promote walking rather than public transport use, using key buildings to improve peoples navigation skills around central London. A Covent Garden Commuter Guide will also be launched as part of the day promoting walking.
