Serres organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2020, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
- Official opening of EMW2020 (Press conference on15th of September)
- Demonstration of the recently implemented traffic lights system, equipped with sound devices for inclusive mobility (Traffic Planning Department)
17 September
Ιnstallation of special heat adhesive traffic signs on road surfaces in the vicinity of schools, aiming in speed reduction and road safety upgrade (Traffic Planning Department)
18 September
Environmental walk all around the installation points of air pollution measurement stations in the city of Serres (Department of Environment)
19 September
- Collection and recording of creations of drawing/photography contests participants.
- Invitation to teachers, parents and students to uptake more “walking to school”. Sending of student “walking to school” templates to motivated school units
20 September
Event “Sunday in the park” with the demonstration of the newly introduced bike sharing system with the support of the Municipal Police
21 September
- Broad meeting of members of Serres’ SUMP Stakeholders group and the Local Support Group of Space4People URBACT project, discussion on SUMP roadmap
- Presentation of Air Pollution Measurement Stations in the city of Serres by the contractor
