This year City of Bjelovar will implement several measures that will improve bicycle- pedestrian areas. Those are: turning pedestrian zone into bicycle-pedestrian zone, constructing several kilometars of bicycle-pedestrian paths in the city and also to surburban area, bulding the polygon for bicycle school, special markers for children that will make them more visible while walking or biking to school, removal of architonic barriers in city centre and introducing more bicycle parkings in city centre.
Car-free day
Bjelovar carries out a Car-free day 2007 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
