Cassano d'Adda organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The city of Cassano d'Adda with the Environment Department, for the third year in a row decides to join the European Mobility Week with a wide range of events all regarding the issue, with local and national partner. Different people of Cassano d'Adda will narrate their holiday trips in Europe traveling by bike, young Cassaneses will talk about couch surfing and public transport travel in Birmania and South America. On Thursday 18th, students and people of the city will be invited not to use car and on Friday 19th Cassano d'Adda will take part at the "Bike to Work" of FIAB Italian Federation of Bike Friends.

The Volta area has been permanently transformed in a pedestrian and bike area. New light and flowers will be installed within a year. New shops already opened in the area facing the Naviglio canal. Water, bike line, pedestrian area are the three ingredients of the Volta area transformation finished this year.

Cassano d'Adda carries out a Car-free day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
