Further info
The permanent measure implemented this year in the framework of sustainable mobility is the “New ZTL-Restricted Traffic Area”. This measure could be included in a general scheme of traffic-calming and vehicles reduced-access to the city centre (the so called “Città Murata”) and imply the permanent access restriction to the city centre for the most of private vehicles. Only few derogations will be allowed, in this way new spaces will be released for pedestrians, bicycles and Public Transport Services to guarantee to citizens, tourists and commuters the possibility of moving trough out the centre of Como.
In addition and connected to ZTL will be set up Bike&Car sharing services all over the city centre and some “Pedestrian Areas”.
