Provincia di Arezzo organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
we are working in modal shift away from the private car and towards public transport linking cycling routes to rail interchange points and integrating public transport network, for example, through the co-ordination of bus and rail services timetables (MEMORARIO – in english should be “mind the time”)
Our principal project is improving local network cycling trails linking them In the italian part of EV7 the route will follow the one named SUN ROUTE, Road through Middle Europe from Norway to Malta.

In cooperation with the Municipality of Arezzo we are building a cycle route (closed to motor vehicles), that will provide an excellent opportunity for cyclists to travel through the City of Arezzo and continue along the bicycle route beside the tributary of Arno River called “Canale Mestro della Chiana” which connects Arezzo to lake of Montepulciano, close to Siena .
