Activities within the week Activities within the week

Subiaco organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The City will held a public conference and a public debate on "new solutions for the city mobility". Citizens will be also invited to join "brainstorming groups" in which new proposals on themes such as alternative mobility, parking, road closures, will be presented by any member of the community.
A whole day-long closure to the private traffic of a central area of the city will be proposed, together with the trasformation of part of this area into a temporary urban oasis.
The city will also present to the local schools the project for the implementation of "pedibus" (a sort of walking school-bus, which will bring young students whithin few blocks, to and from the schools).
Finally, we plan to present a bike-sharing plan, and the introduction of electric bicicles.
