Il Comune di Francavilla al Mare aderisce alla Settimana Europea sulla mobilità sostenibile, iniziativa promossa dalla Commissione Europea, dal Ministero dell'Ambiente con l'obiettivo di mettere in comunicazione diversi soggetti - Enti Locali - Associazioni e privati per realizzare iniziative e progetti.-

Chiusura al traffico del Centro cittadino dalle ore 20,00 alle ore 24,00 periodo estivo - periodo invernale dalle ore 20,30 del sabato alle ore 23,30 della domenica (con Ordinanza Sindacale); Progetto "A PIEDI SICURI" prevede, oltre che la realizzazione di opere, consistente nel potenziamento di un percorso ciclabile di formazione per tecnici e agenti della Polizia Municipale in materia di interventi e gestione della sicurezza, e la creazione di una nuova cultura della sicurezza stradale Delibera di giunta Municipale n° 68 del 22/03/2013 e seguenti.-
